Hansi Flick dodges comments on Arda Güler’s ‘elbow’ and keeps Barça focused
The Barcelona coach avoids the debate over Peque’s incident and turns to the Champions trip to Paris vs PSG.
Hansi Flick was asked about the incident involving Arda Güler and Sevilla player Peque, an action the Sevilla side wanted punished for what they described as a “codazo”. Referee Busquets Ferrer did not flag it, and VAR did not prompt an on-field screen review. Flick chose not to get into the details: “That’s not a question for me… I saw the situation but I don’t like answering these things.”
The Barcelona coach used the moment to shift attention back to his work. He said he’s pleased with “the way we work every day”, pointing to what he saw in Sevilla and also during travel and at the hotel.
Barcelona’s next step is their Champions League game in Paris, where Flick is close to recording his 100th win as Barça coach.
