Harvey Elliott: Liverpool checks in on his Valencia loan
Scout Kiko Espinar visits Elliott and the Valencia set-up; a January return to England is ruled out, according to MARCA.
Liverpool has sent Kiko Espinar to review Harvey Elliott during his loan spell at Valencia, with a visit to the club’s training ground this Thursday. The forward has been getting limited minutes and Valencia has even put a nutritionist on the case to help him regain weight and form, aiming to make him more competitive again.
MARCA reports that the meeting with sporting director Braulio Vázquez ruled out any plan to cut the loan and send Elliott back to England in January. Espinar also spoke with Javier Aguirre and the player himself to check the coach’s and Elliott’s plans for the upcoming matches.
The same day, Valencia made another staffing move: Braulio has signed Pachu Martínez, formerly of Valladolid, via Domingo Catoira. Martínez previously worked with Catoira.
