Hicham Boudaoui, the Algerian who’s Nice’s oldest player, has ultimately not left this summer and has begun his eighth season with the club. L'Équipe reports that after a turbulent summer that seemed set to end with his departure, the “ancien” has fully stepped back into the first-team routine.

He featured in Sunday’s match as Nice beat Strasbourg 2-1. The win matters because the team is currently short on options in midfield.
