Iago Aspas returns to the Celta squad for the trip to Elche
The Celta captain comes back from a thigh muscle tear and is included for the clash at Elche.
Iago Aspas, from Celta Vigo, is back in the squad for the match against Elche after receiving medical clearance this Friday. The captain had suffered a fibrillar tear four weeks ago and, according to MARCA, he does not seem to be a first-choice starter.
Aspas missed the league game vs Racing de Santander and the Europa League tie against Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus. This season he has played six league matches, totaling 220 minutes and one goal. Sebastián Cáceres also returns after clearance.
Coach Claudio Giráldez named 23 available players: Miguel Román, Carl Starfelt and Jones El-Abdellaoui miss out due to injury. With Román sidelined, Hugo Burcio from Celta Fortuna will work with the first team for at least the next month and a half.
