Ibai Gómez has his full squad available for Zaragoza vs Cartagena

Real Zaragoza head into the match against Cartagena with a welcome first: as Sport reports, Ibai Gómez now has his full squad available to tackle the game. At Saturday’s session at the Ibercaja Estadio, the team trained with the 23 first-team players who have squad numbers, alongside the youth players Manolache, Tobajas and Diego Monzón, who are currently working with the senior group.

Full squad, three cuts ahead

With that in place, the coach will name his starting list at midday on Sunday and will need to make three omissions. The article suggests those could be the three youth players from Deportivo Aragón, although it’s not ruled out that there could be another twist.

In the opening league round, Sangalli wasn’t available for the trip to Tarragona because his move was only made official two days after the Nàstic match. Injured players back in the mix

From Wednesday, Ander, Iranzo, Joaquín Delgado and Diego González trained with the group after carrying knocks from the previous outing—three with hamstring overloads and the central defender with a calf problem. They are, in theory, available, though Ibai will be cautious given Ander’s injury history in that area.

Looking at matchday planning, Ibai said on Friday that the plan is to manage workload: "Let’s see if in the squad or during the match we regulate loads in any other case, as we did with Espiau last round", according to Sport. If the three cuts do fall on Deportivo Aragón players, they would head to Caspe on Sunday afternoon to play their Tercera RFEF clash.
