Ibrahim Maza returns with a foot injury as Boniface gets a chance

Bayer Leverkusen return to action after almost three weeks of downtime with Ibrahim Maza back despite a foot injury. As kicker reports, the mood is calm but not fully comfortable, and it gets worse up front.

Christian Kofane is confirmed as a guaranteed absence, which creates room for Victor Boniface. The striker is framed as “an option” in the lineup given Maza’s return and Kofane’s drop-out.
