Igor Paixao and Amine Harit to undergo medical tests after the classic

The Marseille-PSG classic brought setbacks on the injury front for the Olympique de Marseille. According to L'Équipe, Igor Paixao will undergo additional medical checks this Tuesday to determine the exact extent of his injury after being forced to come off during the Sunday match (1-2).

The update follows what was already known: as previously reported, Paixao had to leave the pitch due to an issue with his right calf/gemelo, and Angel Gomes came on in his place.

At this stage, the big question is how long Paixao will be out. L'Équipe says the complementary exams planned for Tuesday are meant to confirm the duration of his absence.

Harit joins the injury list

In the same report, the outlet adds that Amine Harit is also dealing with muscular discomfort and will go through further tests to clarify both the severity and the expected time on the sidelines.

With both players set to be unavailable until the results come in, Marseille will have to adapt their near-term squad plans.
