Igor Paixao (OM) snubs Genesio after sub: Kevin Diaz slams him vs Troyes (0-2)

Igor Paixao of OM was taken off in the 88th minute during Troyes-OM (0-2) and, as Kevin Diaz said on RMC, responded with visible anger while Bruno Genesio tried to reach out to him.

Diaz called the behaviour “unacceptable” and argued that Paixao shouldn’t be disappointed when he’s subbed off, especially in a tough spell for the side. He added that the club rejected an offer worth €35m so the winger could help the team meet its minimum targets. “If I were sporting director, I’d call him in tomorrow with his agent…”, Diaz said on After Foot.

Walid Acherchour also voiced concern about Paixao’s season so far, pointing out that with the fee paid last year and his market value from the summer, it’s worrying if his athletic, technical edge—and his shooting, seen in last season’s Champions League—doesn’t show up in matches like Troyes.
