Igor Zubeldia returns to training and could play vs Deportivo on Sunday
Real Sociedad trained again with Zubeldia back after almost a month out with a right hamstring problem.
Igor Zubeldia, Real Sociedad’s centre-back, returned to training today with his teammates after almost a month out due to right hamstring discomfort. He could be available on Sunday if Pellegrino Matarazzo decides to use him. Real Sociedad resumed work after having the weekend off.
Zubeldia back, international returns pending
Matarazzo is already preparing the Sunday trip to Deportivo de A Coruña while waiting for up to nine internationals to return. Jon Mikel Aramburu and Yangel Herrera were the first to come back to San Sebastián after being released by Venezuela.
With Zubeldia fit again, the coach has five centre-backs at his disposal: Jon Martín, Jon Pacheco, Mamadou Sarr and Beitia. Héctor Fort remains unavailable with knee issues and missed the Friday match against Athletic.
