Iker Vadillo (Real Zaragoza) faces a suspected micro-tear and misses the next match

The goalkeeper is left out with hamstring issues; Ibai Gómez expects him to be out about a week more, pending tests.

Iker Vadillo of Real Zaragoza will miss the next match due to a suspected micro-tear in his hamstring. He was ruled out of the latest squad list along with Sem Westerveld, after last-minute discomfort, and the Dutch keeper also missed his first game of the season.

Ibai Gómez said both were carrying problems before that day and that he doesn’t want to take risks with Vadillo: «Sintieron ayer (por el sábado) las molestias y Sem preveo que pueda estar en el próximo partido, pero no me la jugaría tanto con Vadillo, creo que le vamos a perder por alguna semana más, a ver lo que dicen las pruebas». He added that Vadillo had been dealing with the issue since midweek and did not finish some training sessions. If the tests confirm the injury, he would miss the Murcia clash.

The coach also downplayed Ademo’s discomfort at halftime after a knock, explaining the substitution was driven by the need to change the midfield balance. For the game against Atlético Madrileño, Ibai Gómez gets Diego Monzón back after his matches with Ecuador.
