Iker Vadillo (Zaragoza) ruled out with fiber tear; aims for Europa game

Real Zaragoza confirmed the winger’s muscle injury: he’ll miss at least two weeks, with hopes of returning for the Europa match.

Real Zaragoza has confirmed the injury of Iker Vadillo, a fiber tear in his left leg that kept him out against Teruel and puts him out for at least two weeks. The issue became more noticeable last Saturday, and medical tests indicate it’s in the area of the hamstrings.

The club didn’t specify the exact location of the tear. In its statement, Zaragoza said the player’s recovery timeline will determine when he can progressively rejoin full training. The team’s target is to have him available for the game vs. Europa.

Ibai Gómez added context

After the Teruel match, Ibai Gómez said they may be without him for “another week or so,” and that they’ll see what the tests show. In the same period, Westerveld’s situation also stabilized, allowing him to train normally.
