Iñigo Arguibide renews with Osasuna through June 2030
The full-back extends his deal three more seasons, with a €15m release clause, running until 2030.
Iñigo Arguibide, Osasuna’s full-back, has renewed through June 2030 after an agreement that keeps him at the club for four years, as reported by MARCA. The deal comes after pre-season reshuffled the right-back spot: Valentín Rosier’s injury and the failure to sign Lizancos from Burgos gave the door to the Huarte-born academy player.
Arguibide has quickly nailed down his place, logging over 500 minutes in the first seven league matchdays—most minutes in the squad. That solid stretch adds weight in a position where Rosier previously had the edge, and with the veteran’s return getting closer, Luis Miguel Ramis will have to decide who starts at right back.
Osasuna could have extended the contract unilaterally to 2029, but both sides agreed to add one more year to make it through 2030. It will also be the first renewal as director of sport “Cata” involving a first-team player, with the signing ceremony set for next week. At 21 years old, Arguibide’s deal includes a €15,000,000 release clause.
