Inter fights back vs Bologna despite Lautaro Martínez’s absence (1-3)
1-3 comeback at Renato Dall’Ara: Inter turned it around after trailing; Lautaro missed the game as Carlos Augusto and Bonny sealed it.
Inter beat Bologna 1-3 at Renato Dall’Ara despite the absence of Lautaro Martínez, strengthening their Serie A lead after the Tuesday Champions League loss to Club Brugge (3-4). The night started badly: Pobega put Bologna ahead in the 10th minute.
The Inter comeback arrived before halftime. Marcus Thuram equalised at 44’ with a header from Nicolò Barella’s cross. In the second half, Inter tightened up and Carlos Augusto made it 1-2 at 69’ after Piotr Zieliński’s pinpoint pass to the second post. Bonny then sealed the 1-3 in the 83rd minute, finishing at close range.
Bologna’s best chances came through Pobega, whose efforts hit the post and the crossbar. Josep Martínez also had a key save for the Inter goal, while the home side saw a Bonny strike ruled out for offside. With Lazio set to host Juventus the following day, a win for them would send the top spot level again.
