Isaac Romero sent off after scoring 2-3 in Levante vs Sevilla

He netted the 95th-minute 2-3 but received a second yellow within minutes after his celebration; Levante equalized in the 100th.

Isaac Romero, of Sevilla, scored the 95th-minute 2-3 against Levante, but ended up dismissed: the forward collected two yellow cards in four minutes and went straight to the dressing room after the second.

The game flipped late. Dela leveled in the 92nd, and when Sevilla edged back in front, Romero celebrated in a way that sparked trouble from the stands—objects were thrown onto the pitch. Referee Cordero Vega showed him a second booking after three minutes, leaving Sevilla with ten men.

With a man down, Sevilla couldn’t hold the lead and Levante equalized in the 100th minute, through Ndueke.

Sevilla’s reaction

Agoumé, speaking to Movistar after the match, criticized the referee’s call: he said the issue wasn’t the 3-3, but that the referee “sends us off a player for a celebration”, insisting Isaac wasn’t doing anything wrong and asking for the referee’s explanation for the red card. Luis García Plaza admitted the gesture was worthy of a caution—“It’s a yellow, but I want to see if one day a big-team player does it and they leave him with ten”.
