Jadon Sancho: Getafe make formal offer after he became a free agent
Getafe have tabled a formal offer for Jadon Sancho, who is weighing options after leaving Manchester United in the summer.
Getafe have made a formal offer to sign Jadon Sancho after the 26-year-old became a free agent when his Manchester United deal expired in the summer. The winger is still exploring options, and the Spanish side want a swift resolution.
BBC Sport reports that agreement could be complicated, but Getafe are keen: they sit 14th in LaLiga and are competing in the Europa Conference League this season. Sancho, who cost United £73m when he joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, is said to prefer a move away from England, though he remains open to all possibilities.
Earlier this week, Getafe also added Dani Carvajal on a free transfer; the Spain right-back signed until June 2027 after his Real Madrid contract ended in June. Sancho’s recent form came during his loan at Aston Villa, where he made 39 appearances and scored his only goal in the Europa League last season.
