Jamal Musiala injured in warm-up and misses Klopp’s Germany debut
Bayern’s Musiala was a last-minute miss due to a thigh injury after warm-up vs the Netherlands in the Nations League group stage.
Jamal Musiala, of Bayern München, picked up an injury during warm-ups and was ruled out at the last minute for Jürgen Klopp’s debut as Germany head coach against the Netherlands. The midfielder felt thigh pain on the pitch at the Johan Cruyff Arena, so he missed the match on the first day of Group 2 in the Nations League’s League A.
Klopp had initially included Musiala, and on Thursday he replaced him in the starting XI with Nadiem Amiri, from Mainz. As Mundo Deportivo reports, there was another setback for Germany: in the 30th minute Kai Havertz was forced off and replaced by Younes Ebnoutalib (Eintracht Frankfurt).
Germany’s lineup featured Ter Stegen; Treu, Tah, N. Schlotterbeck, Brown; Kimmich, F. Nmecha, Amiri; Adeyemi, Havertz and Schade.
