Javi Boñar (Girona) injured in ankle: ruled out for 8-10 weeks
The right-back was hurt vs Andorra and, after tests, is expected to miss games until mid-December.
Bad news for Javi Boñar and Girona: the right-back injured the ankle of his left leg in the clash against Andorra, where he finished the match struggling to put weight on his foot. Medical tests point to a problem that will keep him out for between eight and ten weeks.
Boñar had to leave the pitch with the help of staff members. The most optimistic forecast is a return in mid-December. Signed last summer from Atlético, he had been working his way into Quique Álvarez’s starting XI, although in that latest game he was replaced by Mateu Morey.
Before the injury, the 21-year-old played eight matches for Girona (four starts) and logged 440 minutes, competing for the right-back spot with Mateu and Francés.
