Javi Rodríguez extends his Celta deal through June 2030
The Spain international signs an extension with Celta until June 2030 after playing 33 LaLiga games last season and debuting for Spain.
Celta have extended Javi Rodríguez’s contract through June 2030, the club announced this Thursday.
The 23-year-old has become a regular in the starting XI since Claudio Giráldez took charge of the first team. Last season, he played 33 LaLiga EA Sports matches, starting 28, and featured in 12 Liga Europa games. This campaign, he has already appeared in four league matches and the Europa League tie against Omonia.
His performances also earned him a call-up to the senior Spain squad. He made his debut in the friendly against Iraq at Riazor on June 4, and this season he has added four domestic appearances plus one in Cyprus, bringing his total official games for Celta’s first team past 90.
