Javier Aguirre: winning record vs Athletic with Valencia
The Mexican coach faces Athletic again with Valencia: his record vs the Lions stands at 8 wins, 5 draws and 10 defeats.
Javier Aguirre goes into another Athletic clash as Valencia coach: the Mexican meets the “Lions” this Wednesday. As reported by Mundo Deportivo, his overall record in Liga against the Basque side is eight wins, five draws and ten defeats across 23 matches.
In the only cup meeting, the script turned different: the tie ended 0-0 after extra time and Athletic won the penalty shootout, with Aguirre on Mallorca’s bench.
Valencia will be the seventh club Aguirre has faced Athletic with, after Osasuna, Atlético Madrid, Mallorca, Espanyol, Zaragoza and Leganés, including Osasuna’s 2-2-4 record and Atlético’s 3-0-2.
