Javier Calleja: Eldense already has a president as CSD approval waits

Javier Calleja, Eldense head coach, said at a press conference that the club already has a president, though he did not reveal the person’s name. The Spaniard added that they receive ongoing updates while they wait for the CSD to authorize the share sale linked to Lionel Messi’s purchase, so it can be officially announced.

Calleja also insisted that, since he arrived, “expectations have been fully met” and that the club shows “absolute willingness” on every detail needed to improve the project. He addressed the 15% embargo on SAD shares stemming from issues tied to the previous presidents: “The club tells us to stay calm because it has nothing to do with ownership.”

Looking ahead to Burgos, he expects “a very competitive, compact team with experience and bite up top” and stressed the importance of limiting chances. He confirmed David Ruiz will be out “at least six weeks” with a muscle rupture, and noted the return of Jordi Martín and Javi Olaizola.
