Jesús Gil Manzano to referee Barcelona-Getafe, Daniel Trujillo on VAR

Jesús Gil Manzano, the UEFA Elite international referee from Extremadura, will take charge of Barcelona-Getafe this Saturday at Spotify Camp Nou. Kick-off is 6:30pm and it’s shown on DAZN, with Daniel Trujillo assigned to VAR.

Gil Manzano arrives after officiating France-Italy in the Nations League and comes with a recent Barcelona flashpoint: in Barça-Girona in LaLiga 2025-26 he sent off Hansi Flick. This season it will be his fourth match in LaLiga and his debut with the Blaugrana in the current campaign. Overall, he has refereed Barcelona 45 times in the league: 28 wins, 8 draws and 9 defeats. The last time was a 2-1 loss at Real Sociedad in January.

For Getafe, he has refereed 19 league games: 5 wins, 3 draws and 11 defeats. The most recent was in December, a 0-1 home loss to Espanyol. Head-to-head: Barcelona won 0-2 on 28 September 2019, and earlier—on the Copa de la temporada 2013-14 in the round of 16—the match also ended 0-2, as Mundo Deportivo reports.
