JJ Gabriel: Man United prospect’ future looks Europeward
Sky Sports reports JJ Gabriel, still undecided, is increasingly likely to join a European club after turning 16.
JJ Gabriel, a Manchester United-linked prospect, is still without a decision on his future, and it increasingly looks like his next move will be in Europe, according to Sky Sports.
He turned 16 on Tuesday, the age at which European clubs are allowed to sign him to a professional contract. He is also eligible to apply for a European passport through his parents.
Interest remains strong from Barcelona and Real Madrid, while Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also keeping tabs.
Manchester United is reportedly considering legal action if he joins a European club, though that doesn’t appear to worry him or his camp. Even after being pictured in the United squad photo for 2026/27 on Monday, he’s still expected to leave Old Trafford.
