Joan García (Barça) gets the all-clear and makes the squad
The goalkeeper is back after right-knee discomfort and is available for Getafe this afternoon.
FC Barcelona have confirmed the all-clear for Joan García (25), with the goalkeeper included in the matchday squad for this afternoon’s game vs Getafe. He had been carrying right-knee discomfort, which he has now managed to overcome.
After being taken off at half-time against Racing, Szczesny played the second half. In the next match at the Sánchez Pizjuán, Hansi Flick selected Livakovic between the posts, while Joan stayed in Barcelona during the international break to continue treatment.
To prepare for every scenario, Flick called up four goalkeepers for training in case Joan wasn’t ready. On Thursday, he brought in Iker Rodríguez; on Friday, Max Bonfill—both will be involved with Barça Atlètic this afternoon because Joan has no issues returning.
The list’s standout absence is Raphinha. Flick said the forward will miss the Getafe and Galatasaray games. Andreas Christensen is also out, continuing to train separately. Source: Mundo Deportivo.
