Joan García starred for Barcelona despite PSG’s 4-2 in Champions
The Barcelona goalkeeper was brilliant even after conceding four as PSG, the reigning champion, won 4-2 with goals from Vitinha and Fabián Ruiz.
Joan García, Barcelona’s goalkeeper, put on a big display in the first top-level Champions clash against the reigning champion, Paris Saint-Germain: he conceded four, but was the best player in his side during a 4-2 defeat at the Parc des Princes.
PSG pressed from the start, firing 22 shots with 15 on target. As Mundo Deportivo reports, García made 10 saves, while the rest found the net through goals by Doué (opening the scoring), Lucas, Vitinha and Fabián Ruiz.
From early on, García was decisive: he denied Dembélé within five minutes and, after a Pedri loss, also stopped Doué moments later. Before halftime he held firm against Ferran and a three-way sequence that included a shot from Hakimi, but PSG’s late surge finally broke the game open.
