Joao Félix (Al Nassr) has a clause that could extend his deal to 2027
Al Nassr can trigger a contract extension based on conditions agreed in July 2025, without a new player sign-off.
Joao Félix, 26, is tied to Al Nassr until summer 2027, with a clause that could shape his next step. As reported by 365Scores, the Saudi club holds the right to activate an extension included in the agreement signed in July 2025, without needing a fresh approval from the player as long as all contractual and legal conditions are met.
The clause would still be dependent on agreed triggers, including the length of the extension, the financial compensation, and the deadline to activate it. The contracts also include João Félix’s consent for the extension.
Clause talks with Mendes
Al Nassr plans to meet soon with Jorge Mendes to discuss how the clause can be triggered and, at the same time, review João Félix’s position on staying, even though the club has the contractual right to extend.
