Joaquín Muñoz out for weeks: Málaga suffers a right soleus injury
Málaga remain winless as the club confirms Joaquín Muñoz is set to be sidelined for several weeks with a right soleus muscle injury.
Málaga have confirmed that Joaquín Muñoz is out after a training-ground injury: a muscular problem in the right soleus, with an expected several-week layoff.
As the club states after Wednesday’s session, the injury is “pending evolution” following medical tests. With manager Juanfran Funes already dealing with multiple absences, he also has no way to call on Juan Cruz, Lobete, Murillo, and Ochoa.
With options thin on the wings, the lineup has to keep changing: last match Pablo Martínez was used on the left side, and now the coach can turn to Haitam and Aznou.
