Jon Ansotegi urges composure as Real Sociedad B face Las Palmas

Jon Ansotegi, coach of Real Sociedad B, travels to Las Palmas this Saturday aware his team has suffered five consecutive defeats and is down in the relegation places. Still, he stressed they can’t “lose confidence” if they want to take the game: “If we play with fear or don’t want the ball, we won’t win.”

He also addressed the rival’s recent change of manager following Rubén de la Barrera’s exit. Ansotegi said his side is ready to adapt to different tactics, noting that Las Palmas used three centre-backs against Castellón and that they will tweak details accordingly.

On the squad situation, the Basque boss confirmed that Ekain is the only player out with an injury. “We’ll wait for the first team to arrive in case any last-minute situation comes up,” he said, with European duty in mind for the senior side.
