Jorge Pascual returns to the XI and tops Granada’s scorers
From substitute to starter, Pascual scored again—after the 2-3 at Zubieta—and is now Granada’s leading scorer this season.
Jorge Pascual is back in Granada’s starting XI and already leads the club’s scoring chart this campaign. As MARCA reports, he finished last season with ten goals, but early on Pacheta opted for Chinaza, leaving Pascual with less of a role.
He had to wait for his chance. In the third matchday he scored to complete the comeback against Córdoba. When results turned against the team, the coach also tried him a few steps deeper as a number ten, where he showed flashes but without the consistency needed to settle there.
Pascual delivered from the bench, too. At Zubieta he needed just six minutes on the pitch: he went into the box to latch onto a loose ball and made it 2-3, breaking a run of four games without a win. After missing the starting lineup versus Burgos, he returned as a starter against Cádiz and hit the goal that settled the Andalusian derby.
