José Antonio Caro asks Las Palmas fans for more support: “At the end”
After two straight league losses, the Las Palmas keeper wants “unity” with the stands before facing Real Valladolid.
Las Palmas goalkeeper José Antonio Caro called for more backing from the fans this Thursday after two consecutive LaLiga Hypermotion defeats to Burgos and Eibar. Speaking in a press conference, he asked for calm and emotional stability, and addressed jeers directly: “If we have to be booed, let it be at the end of the matches, not during the 90 minutes.”
Caro said they did not start the game fully focused on last Sunday’s match at Ipura and believes the clash with Real Valladolid must help the team be “strong at home”, a key to “fight for bigger goals”. He also acknowledged that the relationship with the crowd has felt “a bit cold” lately and insisted the message is to “stick together”.
The Andalusian added that many new players are in the squad, including him after two seasons with limited minutes: first at Cádiz and then as Dinko Horkas’s backup. On criticism following his error over a month ago vs Girona, he accepted it: “Over my career I’ve made many mistakes… I work to minimize them.”
