José Mourinho fumes at leaked referee info before the Clásico
Mourinho complains that the referee’s name is being revealed weeks early, when he says it should only be official 24 hours before.
José Mourinho, Real Madrid coach, has publicly voiced his anger over leaks about the match referee ahead of the Clásico on 25 October vs Atlético Madrid.
After Real Madrid’s game against Leipzig, when he was told that Martínez Munuera would be in charge, Mourinho said this kind of information “doesn’t sit well” with him and stressed that the referee is officially confirmed 24 hours before kickoff. ### Mourinho’s 24-hour rule
Before the match against Roma, Mourinho had already made his position clear: “The only thing that makes me doubt is when the referee’s name is known three weeks before the match and not 24 hours before.”
In his view, leaking the referee well in advance only draws attention to the official and could end up influencing his work in a game like the Clásico. Meanwhile, Real Madrid TV has continued discussing refereeing decisions for Mourinho’s team and comparing them with those received by Barcelona.
