José Salinas (Málaga) misses Espanyol clash due to ‘fear clause’
The Málaga defender is barred from facing Espanyol this Friday because of a clause included in his loan deal.
José Salinas, a Málaga full-back, won’t be able to play against Espanyol because of the so-called “fear clause”, a condition included in his loan. That means he’ll have to watch the Friday match from the stands at La Rosaleda, as MARCA reports.
The restriction was requested by Espanyol and Málaga accepted it during the negotiations to move forward on other parts of the agreement. The situation differs from Dotor’s, whose loan from Celta does not include the same ban.
With Salinas out, Málaga is considering options for the left side: Rafita and Carlos Puga look like the most likely choices, though Rafita arrives after his second match with the Spain Under-21s, with just one training session and 160 extra minutes on his legs. The third possibility is Adam Aznou, still awaiting his debut after physical issues since arriving, with match-start readiness still uncertain due to lack of competitive minutes.
