Juan Bernat points to Eibar’s group strength after Oviedo loss
Juan Bernat says Eibar’s dressing room is key ahead of Saturday’s game vs Mallorca, after seven straight wins.
Juan Bernat, of Eibar, spoke in a press conference after his side’s defeat at Oviedo and stressed the importance of the dressing room. The Valencian, who joined Ipurua in February and is now in his ninth month with the club, believes the team’s unity shows on the pitch and helps them deal with “bad moments”.
Bernat also linked his current rhythm to the continuity he was missing. After arriving at Eibar, he had to manage two surgeries for pubalgia and noted he didn’t complete pre-season due to ankle problems. He said he feels “very well” and that his last three years were difficult because he rarely had a consistent run of matches.
Eibar have moved on from Oviedo and are focused on Saturday’s home game against Mallorca. Bernat pointed to the club’s form, citing “seven straight wins” and only that they had lost the season opener.
