Jules Koundé and Chelsea: London are watching again
Team Talk reports Chelsea—along with Bayern Munich—keeping tabs on a possible winter move.
Jules Koundé (FC Barcelona) is back on the radar of Chelsea, according to Team Talk. The French centre-back, who joined Barça in 2022 from Sevilla, has had an unusual start this season: he has started two of his side’s eight official matches.
Chelsea’s interest goes back to his Barcelona move. In 2022, the Stamford Bridge club made repeated attempts to sign him before Barça secured the deal for €50 million (a fixed fee plus add-ons). Then, in August 2025, Koundé extended his contract—pushing it from a 2027 expiry to a deal running until 30 June 2030.
With the transfer chatter in motion, Koundé has been with France under Zinedine Zidane. He started against Turkey–France (0-1), but didn’t play vs Belgium (0-1) or Italy (1-1).
