Junior Firpo ruled out for Osasuna on October 11
The Betis full-back was injured in the first 10 minutes for DR and will undergo medical tests in Seville after returning.
Junior Firpo (Real Betis) picked up an injury with the Dominican Republic national team and is awaiting the extent of the problem after being forced off just ten minutes into the match vs Haiti. The full-back said he felt "a small stretch that got stronger than it should" and had to request a substitution.
He will not play on Monday against Nicaragua and is set to travel back to Seville on Tuesday, where Real Betis will run medical tests to determine the recovery timeframe. With that uncertainty, his appearance for the league trip vs Osasuna on Sunday October 11 is practically ruled out until a final diagnosis is in place.
Firpo also criticized the revamped international break schedule for packing too many matches, saying: "Before we played two games in ten days and it was better than doing four in eleven." The injury lands ahead of a demanding 29-day run, with Betis facing nine matches across LaLiga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.
