Kang-in Lee adds another award as Atlético’s September Player

Kang-in Lee, Atlético Madrid forward, has been named September Player of the Month, his fourth individual award since joining the club. In the fans’ popular vote, he beat Alejandro Grimaldo, Jonny Cardoso, Jonathan David and Giuliano Simeone.

The recognition comes after he previously won LaLiga’s Goal of the Month in August. In September, Kang-in played in all five of Atlético’s matches and scored once.

Beyond the monthly prize, he has also collected matchday MVP awards: he was best player against Málaga, where he helped kick off the season with a stunning goal, and again against Osasuna, where he also found the net. As Mundo Deportivo reports, he’s tied with Giuliano for the most MVPs in this early stretch.
