Kang-in Lee ends international break with 45’ vs Uzbekistan
Kang-in Lee played just 45 minutes in a friendly: Korea Sur’s 2-0 win over Uzbekistan, totaling 215 minutes in the break.
Kang-in Lee (Atlético Madrid) wrapped up his international break with South Korea, playing 45 minutes in the friendly against Uzbekistan. The match finished 2-0 for the Koreans: Son Heung-min scored a historic free-kick early on, and Oh Se-hun added the second goal in the second half after a pass by Song Min-kyu.
South Korean media described his contribution as “discreet”, pointing out that creativity was missing in the first half because of a lack of midfield options. Still, the report says he showed flashes with his pace and attempts to connect with teammates, even though Korea’s build-up was limited by Uzbekistan’s defensive setup.
Overall, Kang-in Lee logged 215 minutes with three starts, including an assist for Son in the 4-1 defeat against Uruguay.
