Brentford have opened talks with Kevin Schade over a new long-term contract, as Arsenal and Liverpool keep tabs on the Germany winger. His current deal is heading into its final stage, with two years left, and the club wants to improve the terms.
Sky Sports reports that Schade’s early impact has fueled the discussions: he has scored three goals as Brentford sit fourth in the Premier League after their opening five matches. The start includes two home wins, against Tottenham and Chelsea, plus three draws.
The 2023 capture from SC Freiburg for £20m has also paid off in production and international chances. With Brentford, Schade now totals 25 goals in 119 games and nine assists, and he broke into Germany, starting in their match against the Netherlands on Jürgen Klopp’s first game in charge.
