Kheira Hamraoui: PSG leadership questioned over moral harassment case

The leadership of Paris Saint-Germain has been questioned by the French justice system in Paris in connection with the moral harassment investigation brought by Kheira Hamraoui. The hearing took place under “audition libre”, as reported to AFP by a source close to the case.

The probe started after Hamraoui filed a complaint in May 2025 against her former club, alleging moral harassment. Ahead of the summer, investigators also heard several people linked to the PSG, including staff members and figures from the club’s management, as confirmed by the Paris prosecutor’s office.

From the assault to the alleged exclusion

Hamraoui, 36, was attacked on 4 November 2021 in Chatou (Yvelines) with metal bars, suffering blows to the legs. The assault was later investigated at the Tribunal de Versailles, where prosecutors sought a trial involving Aminata Diallo and César Macavala.

The Paris inquiry focuses on whether PSG sidelined Hamraoui after her recovery, and whether the club did it intentionally to push her out. Hamraoui left PSG in June 2023 and says that treatment drove her to move to less prestigious competitions: first Mexico, then Saudi Arabia—Al-Shabab in 2024 and Al-Hilal in 2025.

Labor case and lawyer’s comments

Her lawyer, Pascal Garbarini, said the complaint has been taken “very seriously” by prosecutors and that “the investigation is moving forward”, pointing to “many hearings” inside PSG. He added that Hamraoui wants the conduct she suffered to be penalized and argued that, beyond her case, it would send a strong message that players are not club tools. Separately, Hamraoui sought €3.5 million from PSG in the labor courts; she was dismissed in December 2025 and has appealed.
