Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ruptures ACL and will undergo surgery
The PSG winger injured his right knee in the 4-2 win over Barcelona and will have an operation after the ACL rupture.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (PSG) is set to undergo surgery after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The injury occurred in the Champions League 4-2 win over Barcelona, when the Georgia winger twisted his knee and had to be helped off just before the hour mark.
The Guardian reports that Kvaratskhelia landed awkwardly after sprinting back to make a tackle on Xavi Espart and was in severe pain, unable to put weight on his right leg.
Two more injuries for PSG
PSG also suffered earlier setbacks: Ousmane Dembélé was forced off with a thigh issue and Marquinhos was substituted with a similar problem. The club said both players will receive treatment for the next few weeks.
