Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s tests raise fears of cruciate ligament injury

The PSG attacker was forced off in the PSG-Barça clash and will undergo an MRI this Wednesday to confirm the diagnosis.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (PSG) was substituted around the hour mark in the PSG-Barça match, and early concern has been high ever since, according to L'Équipe.

Initial medical checks haven’t been reassuring. The Georgian is set to have an MRI this Wednesday to refine the diagnosis, with a possible cruciate ligament rupture being feared.

For now, his status depends on the imaging results, after a worrying exit from the pitch during the Champions League tie.
