Kiat Lim asks his father not to sell Valencia, at least for now

According to MARCA, the son of the club’s majority owner wants to keep leading the board, putting a potential sale on hold.

Kiat Lim, the son of Peter Lim, has asked him not to sell Valencia at least for now, a position MARCA describes as firm despite months of talk about a possible takeover.

The conversation reportedly took place a couple of weeks ago in Singapore with a former Valencia executive. There, Kiat said he feels comfortable in his role as president and wants to carry on over the coming years, continuing to run the board and guide the day-to-day decisions.

His influence has grown after recent moves that include Corberán’s exit, Braulio’s arrival and the signing of Aguirre. With the new stadium due to be ready next season—and after a tightening of the sports project—the sale still remains on the agenda, but the current call is to pause it for now.
