Koke ruled out for Atlético vs Man United in Champions after his mother died

Atlético captain Koke is left out of the squad for Tuesday’s 21:00 Champions League game vs Manchester United.

Koke, Atlético Madrid’s captain, has not been named in the squad for Tuesday night’s Champions League match against Manchester United (21:00), following the death of his mother. Atlético will observe a minute’s silence before kickoff.

It’s normally Koke who carries the captain’s armband, but for this game he will be absent for family reasons, according to L'Équipe.
