Konaté and Valverde return in Real Madrid’s Villarreal squad
Mourinho can call on the French defender and the Uruguayan midfielder after injuries, while Asencio, Mendy and Rodrygo remain sidelined.
Real Madrid coach José Mourinho has included Ibrahima Konaté and Federico Valverde in the squad for the trip to Villarreal, after doubts over their fitness following separate injuries. Both players finished the team’s final training session normally, so they are available if the manager decides to use them.
Injured players
Mourinho is still without Álvaro Asencio, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo, who continue their recovery processes. Éder Militão is also working back to speed, with Mourinho waiting for the right moment to include him.
The squad list is:
- Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin, Sergio Mestre.
- Defenders: Trent, Konaté, Cucurella, Á. Carreras, Rüdiger, Dumfries.
- Midfielders: Bellingham, Camavinga, Valverde, Tchouaméni, Arda Güler, Bernardo, Thiago.
- Forwards: Vini Jr., Endrick, Mbappé, C. Espí, Brahim, Yan Diomande.
