Lamine Yamal stars as Barcelona aim to keep scoring pace

Barcelona return to LaLiga this Saturday vs Getafe after the international break, with Raphinha’s recovery a key doubt

FC Barcelona restart LaLiga this Saturday after the international break with a huge target in mind: they’ve scored 31 goals in their first seven league matches, averaging 4.43 per game—the highest rate among Europe’s major leagues, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Blaugrana also put up numbers that top several benchmarks: 3.5 goals per match versus Bayern Munich, 3.2 against Brighton, 3.0 vs Inter Milan and 2.0 against Olympique Lyon. They’ve generated a high volume of shots too, with 150 attempts (over 21 per match).

Early-season goal distribution

Scoring responsibility is spread across multiple players. Eight have found the net: Raphinha (12 league goals), Lamine Yamal (seven), plus Fermín, Adeyemi, Gabriel Jesus, Pedri, Xavi Espart and Cancelo.

Getafe test and a packed stretch

The first challenge is against Getafe at Spotify Camp Nou (18:30, DAZN). It starts a demanding run mixing league and Europe: Getafe, Galatasaray, Betis, PSG, Real Madrid and Alavés.

Physically, the main concern is Raphinha, who is still recovering from a thigh muscle edema. His place in the starting XI is not guaranteed, and the club’s priority is bringing him back without risk.
