Laporta’s meeting with Limak in Istanbul over Spotify Camp Nou works
Limak is nearing the final build stage and plans the “Big Lift” from June, aiming for a full 2028 opening.
Barcelona, with Joan Laporta, held a top-level summit in Istanbul with Limak while the club was in the city for their Champions League match against Galatasaray. As Mundo Deportivo reports, the Blaugrana met several times with Ebru Özdemir, president and CEO of Limak Holding, to review works already in their final phase.
The roadmap includes the “Big Lift” (lifting the roof structure) from June, described as the last major hurdle before the club can open the entire third stand. The target for the project is to inaugurate the stadium during 2028.
The meetings also featured an official dinner and both delegations watching the game from the Ali Sami Yen VIP area. The article notes that after past tensions tied to financial issues and penalty clauses, these talks focused on finding the best possible rhythm for the final stretch.
