Leao takes Manchester United’s No 7 after Ronaldo’s dramatic exit

Manchester United have handed the No 7 shirt to Rafael Leão following the departure of its previous owner, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sky Sports reports. The change comes right after Ronaldo’s “dramatic exit”, which leaves a vacancy in the club’s most iconic shirt.

By assigning the number to Leão, the United refresh the dressing-room’s reference point on one of their most recognisable jerseys. The move signals a new flagship for the team’s attacking identity.
