Ligue 1 expands TV rights to Pakistan and Bangladesh after India deal
The LFP strikes a distribution pact with Tapmad for Pakistan and Bangladesh, weeks after securing India coverage.
The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has agreed a new way to distribute Ligue 1 across Asia, adding Pakistan and Bangladesh via OTT platform Tapmad. As reported by RMC Sport, the deal makes the French league available in both countries, coming only a few weeks after LFP’s earlier agreement for India.
The LFP points out that, since the Ligue 1 “Classique” on 20 September (OM–PSG 1-2), those markets already have access to the competition. It also highlights a recent China high: the Lille–Troyes match on 13 September drew an average of 2.15 million viewers in China, the biggest linear audience recorded so far for a Ligue 1 game there.
