Lisandro Martínez set for punishment after rant at Manchester United

Lisandro Martínez, of Manchester United, is heading for punishment after the rant he delivered at the club’s doorstep. The spark came after United’s defeat to Atlético Madrid, when the Argentine went in hard at the club and its directors.

As reported by The Athletic, within United the fine is seen as “inevitable”, with further sanctions to follow.

Martínez said he “expected more” from the director, adding that Carrick “was not backed properly” during the summer window.
