Lisandro slams Man United: “not a Champions League squad”
The defender questioned the squad’s level and even hit out at the technical director after a European night.
Lisandro Martínez, of Manchester United, didn’t hold back. He said the squad is not of a Champions League quality, adding that while he believes the players “can do more”, the club must build a stronger squad to be ready for nights like these, according to Fabrizio Romano.
He also criticised what he saw on the pitch: “it’s annoying to come here and not see my team trying to get an amazing result.” Looking back, he pointed to last season as the moment the club created the base to build “an amazing team”.
And he aimed a clear message at the staff: “I expect more from our technical director” and concluded, “I’ve to be honest”.
