Livaković celebrates his Sevilla debut and urges consistency

Dominik Livaković made his debut for Barcelona in Sevilla and, after the match at the Sánchez Pizjuán, said he was “very happy and proud” to have started as a Blaugrana. Speaking to the club’s media, the Croat stressed that the priority is collective success: “what matters is the team and that we win,” adding that he expects to maintain the results streak after the international break.

A start to build on

Livaković believed the squad responded in the best way after a strong start to the season. “We’ve had a perfect start and we have to keep it going,” he said, praising a “good talk at half-time” and how the team “proved it on the pitch.” He also singled out Raphinha, sending his congratulations after an “incredible” hat-trick, and described the winger as the “perfect forward” for the way he presses.

Settling in with support

The goalkeeper was also asked about adapting to the club and to Barcelona. In that respect, Dani Olmo has been a big help. Livaković explained that they played together at Dinamo Zagreb, noting that the familiarity has made his transition easier. “From day one I’ve had Dani Olmo… I played with him at Dinamo Zagreb six or seven years ago… It’s been easy,” he said, and added that the goalkeeping coach team (“Joan and Tek”) and the staff made the work “easier.” (source: Mundo Deportivo).
